*As an adoptive sister, I've become aware of the many issues surrounding orphans around the world. Some places, if not most, do a fantastic job of taking care of the children that they are given charge over. However, some institutions, as well as some countries, are lacking in the care that they offer to orphaned children, especially those considered special needs.
So, the hope of this blog is to outline some of the problems, and hopefully highlight individuals that are helping make a difference in the treatment of orphans.
Living by this verse:
Proverbs 31:8-9: Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.
